Ace
Storage wants you to know how storage works so you can have an outstanding self-storage
experience. Here are answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.
Is there a deposit when
renting the storage unit?
Yes, the deposit is
$75.00 and is refunded when you move out if the unit is left in the same
condition as when it was rented.
Is my first month’s rent
prorated?
You are billed for the first
full month rent and prorated the second month. You will pay a full
month’s rent when you initially rent your unit. If you are renting
on a day other than the 1st of the month, your 2nd month’s rent will
be prorated. For example: you rent a unit for $85 per
month on the 18th day of a month with 31 days (March 18). At the
time of rental, you will pay $85 rent and the $75 deposit. On the
first day of the following month (April 1), you will be billed a prorated
amount of $36.83, then $85 each month thereafter (starting May 1).
How does the rental
process work?
Don’t stress, there are
three easy steps to self-storage:
1.
Go online to acestoragehighway12.com and
click “Rent Storage”
2. Select the size storage unit you need and complete rental process
3. Then you are ready to move your stuff into your unit and put a lock on the door!
Can I rent in person or
on the telephone?
We designed our website
to make renting storage fast and easy
online – but you’re also welcome to make and appt. to rent in person. Or you can call us 615-246-1545 to ask questions or reserve by
telephone.
What sizes self-storage
units do you have?
Our standard sizes range
from 5’x5′ to 15’x25’ and are approximately 8’ high (all dimensions are
approximate). You can choose from these sizes:
5’x5’x8’ * 5’x10’x8’ * 10’x10’x8’ * 10’x15’x8’ * 10’x20’x8’
15’x20’x8’ * 15’x25’x8’
What’s the difference
between an indoor unit and an outdoor unit?
All of our units are
outdoor units; all are on one level and offer the convenience of drive-up
access.
Does Ace Storage provide
locks? Do you keep a key to my self-storage unit? How many locks can
I put on?
You provide your own
lock and Ace Storage does not require a key to the lock. The units have a
space for 2 locks but one space is for lock out in case of nonpayment. If
you choose to put 2 locks on your unit and do not pay your rent by the 7th day
of the month, the 2nd lock will be cut at a fee of $100 and a lock out lock will
be put in its place until rent is paid.
When
can I access my self-storage unit?
Ace Storage is open 7
days a week, 365 days a year from 6 am to 10 pm each day. When you
rent, you will receive a code to open the gate, then you can access your
self-storage unit anytime during these hours of operation.
If I forget my access
code, what do I do?
You will receive a welcome email/text when you start renting with us. Please refer back to this email/text to find your gate code. If you cannot find it, call Ace Storage during
regular business hours and someone will assist you.
Do you rent space
month-to-month or do I have to sign a long-term lease?
Our rental contracts are
month-to-month agreements – no long-term lease is required. However, if
you need long term storage and sign an agreement for 12 months, we will give
you the 12th month free!
What kind of
documentation do I need to provide to rent a storage unit?
You will need to provide
a valid, government-issued form of identification (e.g., driver’s license,
state ID or passport, etc.).
How do I move out?
A 5 (5) day notice
is required before your intended vacate date. You can call the office or go to
our website to give notice.
Do you require insurance
on my stored goods?
You are responsible for
the items that you store with us at Ace Storage and insurance for your stored
belongings is required. Ace Storage does not supply insurance on your stored
items. You may be covered under an existing insurance policy. Be sure to check
with your insurance agent to verify that your items are protected.
Do you have automatic payment
options?
Yes, we sure do. You can
sign up for auto pay online and we will automatically deduct your monthly
charges from a credit card, debit card, or bank account. No bills, no checks to
mail, no late fees. If you don’t want your rental fee to be paid automatically
you can make a one-time monthly payment using our convenient online billing and
payment option.
I don’t want to pay
online. Can I pay in person?
Yes. You can pay by phone using a credit/debit card. We have a rent drop box on the office door for check payments. You can pay in-person at the property by appointment with cash, check, or credit/debit card.
What if I’m late in
making my payment?
We bill monthly and all
payments are due on the 1st of the month. However, we provide a 5-day grace
period before charging a late fee of $20 or 20% of the monthly rental amount on the 6th of the month. To
avoid the possibility of late fees, we recommend customers sign up for auto pay,
so that their payments are automatically taken from a bank account or credit
card each month.
